This car seat was not used for that purpose. I used it as a portable carrier for when I took my daughters to playgroup/playdates and when we went out to eat when my son was new born to 5 months.

It served it's purpose, you can rock it back and forth when on the ground it helped to keep him sleeping when I was occupied with the girls
